About this regional
Three days of youth trap on the Heartland Grand grounds
The Scholastic Clay Target Program brings its regional back to Stockdale May 7 – 9, 2027, on the same grounds that host the Heartland Grand. Three days of trap for youth and collegiate teams: 16-yard singles, handicap and doubles. The shoot is built on Shot5 as a regional, so teams from anywhere in the country can enter. A new trophy package from the Stockdale Gun Club is added to the SCTP awards for 2027.

Find the Stockdale regional on Shot5
Every SCTP regional is built under the Shoots tab, not under your state, because it is open to teams nationwide. Coaches enter squads there. Here is the path.
- Log in to Shot5 and choose Shoots in the left-hand menu.
- Look to Upcoming.
- Move down to the Shoot type drop-down arrow.
- Click Regional.
- Scroll down to the 2027 Midwest Regional and click it to open the shoot.
Shoot number: The 2027 shoot has not been entered on Shot5 yet. SCTP assigns the number each spring when the regional is built. We will post the 2027 number right here as soon as it is issued.

Camping
Park it on the grounds
Onsite camping is $40 for the weekend, Friday through Sunday, electric and water included. There is no sewer on the grounds; the closest dump station is in Iowa Falls. Email or call Dale to request a spot; he will confirm space.
Getting here
10724 Co Hwy S-55
Ackley, IA 50601. Off Iowa 57 between Iowa Falls and Ackley, then south on the blacktop, County Highway S-55. Team buses can use the driveway by the white farm house. It is a straight shot to the camping and parking area, with large turnaround areas.
